In 2008 ACD+C were engaged to design and fit out a brand new 4500 sqm International head office in Hawthorn, Melbourne. The 4-month project was our second head office fit out for this long-standing client in a space of 5 years. The interior design worked to reflect the McConnell Dowell passion for leading edge design and construction. Visiting customers need to know be comfortable they can create contemporary, comfortable and practical working environments. Furthermore, staff of the firm required a stimulating work environment. The design plan incorporated open plan areas, contrasting color schemes, plus glass and timber features. It also integrated sustainable elements and capitalized on natural light. McConnell Dowell are proud of their new head office and have commended our team on their efforts on a well planned and visually stunning project delivery. E.L.C and Baillieu Stock broking firm, E.L.C & Baillieu had outgrown their office of 30 years at level 27, 360 Collins St, Melbourne. A new space, one floor below was on offer and ACD+C were briefed to transform an empty shell into Australia s most inspiring share trading office. Our design team proposed that the traders  dealing desks be positioned on the outer parameters of the floor plan to provide traders with natural light and up lifting views of Melbourne. The management offices are located central to the office core. This project was another complete fit out, requiring timely completion and staff relocation. ACD+C s joinery experts custom built the dealing desks and our interior decoration team sourced all furnishings. The end result is a bright open office space that blends classic furnishings with modern, yet timeless architecture. By all reports the E.L.C & Ballieu office is the talk of Collins St, and ACD+C are proud to have an enduring relationship with senior management of this highly regarded company. Fremantle Media Working with existing spaces presents many challenges. The Fremantle Media refurbishment within the historic Pelaco building in Richmond, Melbourne provided our team with the opportunity to put their planning and logistics skills to the test. Our objective was to minimize interruption to business and create an impressive office conducive to creative thinking. The first stage of the project involved redesigning the office to make the most of a traditional warehouse office environment to introduce eclectic features and vivid color schemes. Phase 2 required extensive planning as all materials, fixtures and furnishings had to be directed though the relatively tight reception. Once construction began, a stream lined work plan enabled Fremantle Media to remain in the building throughout the refurbishment to avoid the cost and hassles of a temporary relocation. The finished interior is stunning and by all reports the staff love their new workstations, bright colour schemes and ergonomic furniture. Telecommunications Industry Ombudsmen The telecommunications industry is technology driven, fast paced and competitive to the extreme. In order to attract and retain top - level employees, in a tight labour market, the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsmen (T.I.O) needed to upgrade its Collins St, Melbourne headquarters. The T.I.O also needed the industry and consumers to be comfortable that the Ombudsmen was progressive and professional in it s role as a mediator of disputes and as a facilitator or regulation. ACD+C were invited to tender for the interior design and fit out and were delighted to win the project based on a highly creative, yet cost effective design and project management proposal. Our team of interior design specialists, fit out consultants and project managers combined to deliver an incredible result, far removed from typical institutional design restraints thanks to a very open brief.
